Professional Travel Insurance Company Limited ('PTI') is registered in Gibraltar No. 33927, Registered Office: Suite 935, Europort, P.O. Box 793, Gibraltar.

PTI is licensed by the Commissioner of Insurance and regulated by the Financial Services Commission ('FSC') under the Insurance Companies Ordinance 1987 and subsidiary legislation. By law, the Commissioner of Insurance must ensure that regulation in Gibraltar complies with EU obligations and, where these apply, establishes and implements standards that match those required by legislation and practice in the UK. The FSC’s performance in meeting this requirement is reviewed from time to time by an independent team appointed by the Governor of Gibraltar. As part of the EU, Gibraltar licensed insurance companies can provide services throughout the EU and EEA without having to seek separate licenses or authorisation in other member states, therefore allowing the 'passporting' of financial services.

The various classes of insurance business in EEA States that PTI is authorised to write can be found on the FSC website, being accident, sickness, goods in transit, fire and natural forces, damage to property, general liability and miscellaneous financial loss.

PTI is a member of the UK Financial Ombudsman Service ('FOS') , which gives our policyholders full access to the FOS. All our policy wordings are transparent on how a complaint can be made and how it can be referred to the FOS.

PTI pays the annual levy into the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in the UK to provide PTI policyholders exactly the same level of protection as offered by a UK insurer.
